Last October I was again house/dog sitting for the friends in yesterday’s post and there was a great egret visiting on their property. It took a while for the egret to trust me, but after a while it didn’t mind me stalking with it. It was catching lizards left and right and, after careful observation, I knew what it would do before a catch so I could be ready with camera to eye. I’ll use some of those pictures in another post.
Later in the day the egret flew to the roof of the house and “posed” for me. These are my favorites. I wish I would have had a lens bigger than 300mm so these are cropped to get rid of extra sky.
