Weekly Photo Challenge: Nighttime 5

Weekly Photo Challenge: Nighttime

This weeks photo challenge has us showing our nighttime shots and I have 9 photos I’ve chosen (out of who knows how many total images I have).

What nocturnal photos do you like taking? Whether it’s a starry sky, a street lamp, or the shadows cast by your cat, share them with us. Your shot can be outdoors or indoors, blurry or crisp, overexposed or ominously dark. As every owl (and night owl) knows, nighttime is when the real action starts.

Nighttime in Chiang Mai, Thailand: While we didn’t go out every night, I did manage to get some nighttime photos there and have chosen three to share.

These were taken a couple of years ago when I was watching the house for some friends. It was my first attempt at taking photos of the stars. While they’re not in the country, they have more stars showing at night than where I live.

And from this year’s Ventura County Fair.

Thank you for viewing. You can see more “Nighttime” photos here.

    • dunelight, not sure which image you are referring to. Is it the lit face with the landscape in the background showing through? If so, that was a self portrait of me playing with long exposure(s).
