Weekly Photo Challenge: Spring

This weeks photo challenge is “Spring” and we are to “share a photo which describes what spring means to you.” Last year was the first time I’ve ever had a “favorite season”, it was Spring! With all the colors and beauty of the flowers…it was pure eye candy for me and my camera. So here are some flowers to share with you. Since our weather has been breezy to high, gusting winds I haven’t been able to really take any flower photos this year – at least any that look good enough to share. So, into the archives I went for Spring past.

This first photo was actually taken in October of 2010 while walking through Warorot Market in Chiang Mai. We had turned a corner, or come to the end of one of the aisles, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was flower nirvana! 🙂

Since I love to go hiking in the local parks, particularly Wildwood Park, the next four photos are from there. This is what I, and others, get to see while hiking after we’ve had some good rain.

    • It is a rare treat to see Wildwood Park dressed in flowers and greens (color-wise), for the most part it is brown with your normal desert plants. Even still I enjoy hiking there most of the year. Thank you for your comment. 🙂
